License Options
Every piece of music is available under one of two license types.
Non-Exclusive License - $100
A Non-Exclusive License grants you permission to use one of my tracks in a single original project while I remain free to license the same music to other customers. This license is intended for independent musicians, filmmakers, YouTube creators, podcasts, games, social media, advertisements, and other online or independent productions.
The license permits commercial use of one project but does not cover national advertising campaigns, major studio productions, network television broadcasts, or wide theatrical releases. If your project grows beyond those uses, simply contact me to upgrade your license.
Exclusive Perpetual License - Contact for Pricing
An Exclusive Perpetual License grants you the exclusive, worldwide right to use the track forever. Once purchased, the track will be removed from future licensing and will no longer be offered to other customers.
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, I retain copyright ownership of the underlying musical composition and sound recording, while you receive exclusive rights to use the music without expiration or usage restrictions.
Track License Agreement
This Agreement is entered into between Nick Tatham ("Producer") and the Licensee as of the date of purchase.
1. Grant of License
Producer grants Licensee either a Non-Exclusive License or an Exclusive Perpetual License, depending on the license purchased, to use the musical work ("Track") in one (1) original project.
2. Permitted Uses
Licensee may:
Record vocals over the Track and distribute the resulting song.
Synchronize the Track with films, television, advertisements, podcasts, games, websites, YouTube videos, social media, or other audiovisual content.
Monetize and publicly distribute the completed project.
3. License Types
a. Non-Exclusive License
The Track may be used in one (1) original project. Producer retains the right to license the Track to other customers.
This license does not permit use in national advertising campaigns, major studio productions, network television broadcasts, or wide theatrical releases without Producer's written approval.
b. Exclusive Perpetual License
Producer grants Licensee an exclusive, worldwide, perpetual license to use the Track without usage limitations. Following purchase, Producer will remove the Track from future public licensing within a reasonable time and will not license it to any future customers.
4. Ownership
Producer retains all copyright and ownership of the Track unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Licensee retains ownership only of the original material they create using the Track, including vocals, dialogue, editing, cinematography, or other creative elements.
5. Credit
Where reasonably practical, Licensee agrees to credit Producer as:
"Music by Nick Tatham"
or
"Prod. by Nick Tatham"
6. Restrictions
Licensee may not:
Resell, sublicense, lease, or redistribute the Track by itself.
Claim authorship or ownership of the Track.
Register the Track by itself with any Content ID or similar copyright management system.
Use the Track in any unlawful or defamatory manner.
7. Delivery
Licensee will receive the audio files included with the purchased license.
8. Binding Agreement
By purchasing a license, Licensee acknowledges that the completed purchase constitutes a legally binding electronic acceptance of this Agreement.
9. Refund Policy
All sales are final.
